IT Intelligence Bulletin (HG Insights) — Park Place Technologies, the world’s largest post-warranty data centre maintenance organization, has announced it will open its new EMEA operations centre in Cork, Ireland.
Park Place will invest in the creation of 70 new tech jobs over the next two years. This new investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland (Industrial Development Authority).
Park Place supports more than 15,000 organizations in over 115 countries. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, Park Place currently employs over 1,100 people, and maintains offices across the globe, including in San Diego, Denver, Boston, Toronto, London, Calne, Wiesbaden, Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai.
Speaking in Cork at the announcement, Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney said, “I am delighted to welcome Park Place Technologies to Cork, Ireland, as a committed member of the EU, continues to resonate strongly with US companies as the location of choice from which to serve its European customer base.”
While nearly one dozen positions already have been filled with local talent, recruitment will continue for highly skilled engineering and technology positions. These include Customer Service experts with experience dealing with enterprise to consumer customers consuming data centre technology; Support Analysts with multi-lingual skills, and an aptitude for data centre products such as storage, servers, and networks; and Advanced Engineers with in-depth knowledge of all major OEM data centre technology such as HPE, IBM, Cisco, NetApp, Dell, Dell EMC, 3Par.
