HG Gamers Fundraising for Children

HG Insights is proud to give back.

Last week, ten HGers set off on an admirable goal — fundraising for sick children on behalf of Extra Life.

In support of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Extra Life Gaming Marathon was 24 consecutive hours of gaming to help raise money for local member hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.

HG Gives Back

HG Insights is proud to give back. In this year’s fundraiser, 10 HGers raised just under $2,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Special events like this Extra Life fundraising bring our community together and remind us just how supportive and integral HG culture is to our everyday lives. HG culture starts with our people. We work in an inclusive environment where different backgrounds and perspectives are valued and encouraged, regardless of any individual differences.

The recent volunteering efforts with Extra Life are just the latest example of HG giving back. Recently, HGers have also:

  • Assisted with beach cleanups with the ChannelKeepers
  • Volunteered at the Santa Babara Zoo (below)
  • Volunteered at the Santa Babara Rescue Mission
  • Assisted in assembling 300 Home Play Learning Kits for United Way of SB County

Katherine Steele, who coordinates HG Gives! volunteering initiatives and also participated in the Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon, said:

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raise funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
