Sales operations is a set of business activities and processes that help a sales organization run effectively, efficiently and in support of business strategies and objectives. Sales operations teams use data and analytics to make decisions on how to follow up with a customer. This is typically done by using a Customer Relationship Management tool which is a database that contains all of the interactions a sales rep has had with a customer. Using this data helps close deals.
