Tracy has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 award winner by the Pacific Coast Business Times, an annual selection of the California Central Coast’s most accomplished entrepreneurs and business leaders. He has helped shape the central coast tech scene into “a new tech hot spot” over the last 15 years, both as a founder of multiple tech startups in the region and as a highly visible contributor to the burgeoning industry locally.
Tracy helped grow HG Insights into one of Santa Barbara’s largest tech companies. He was also a founding member of NOZA, a startup that built the world’s largest database of charitable donations and was acquired by Blackbaud in 2010.
Not one to rest on his laurels, the next day, Tracy returned to found HG Data with former NOZA team members. HG Data built upon the team’s past successes and grew into the industry-leading data analysis company HG Insights.
But Tracy’s achievements don’t end there—he is involved with several non-profit organizations. For example, Catalyst for Thought, which focuses on teaching entrepreneurial concepts with a focus on giving back to your community. He is also involved with Santa Barbara-based “Fighting Back Mentor Program,” working one-on-one with local kids to help with personal development.
And this year’s “40 Under 40” award follows many more for HG Insights, including the Best Tech Startups in Santa Barbara and the Central Coast’s Best Places to Work; for offering some of the best employee perks and compensation.

Over his career, Tracy has held roles across disciplines ranging from engineering to product to customer success. Prior to co-founding HG Insights, Tracy worked for startup NOZA building the world’s largest database of charitable donations. And NOZA was acquired by Blackbaud (BLKB) in 2010 prior to the founding of HG Insights.
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with degrees in Computer Engineering and Business, Tracy has contributed to HG’s growth for over a decade.
